COMING TO SZEGED

Szeged has a central location not only in Europe but also within the country. Budapest is just a two hour and fifteen minute trainride from here. In order to get to Szeged from Budapest, the visitor must reach the West Station (Nyugati Pályaudvar, abbreviated Nyugati p.u.), from where trains leave for Szeged about every two hours.

In Szeged, if you arrive the time given for orientation, SZTE students will wait for you and take you to your dorm or to the Irinyi Building where the HUECESC is located. Otherwise, taking a taxi is recommended. If you just want to get to the Irinyi Building, take tram #1 from in front of the train station and get off at the third stop, after the vehicle crossed under a huge arched building, known the Gate of Heroes. The Irinyi Building is next to the arches. Have safe travel, see you in Szeged!
